Mr. Tarun Bajaj, IAS officer of Haryana cadre belongs to the 1988 batch of civil servants. He is a post-graduate in Management from IIM Ahmedabad and also a Chartered Financial Analyst. He also holds a post graduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

After serving in various capacities in the Government of Haryana and several state government undertakings, Mr. Bajaj was posted to the Union Finance Ministry in 2006.

Currently as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services in the Ministry Mr. Bajaj looks after the Insurance & Pension Divisions, Establishment & General Section and Hindi Departments.

Mr. Bajaj is also a Director on the Boards of United India Insurance Co. Ltd., Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited, Bank of India, Irrigation & Water Resources Finance Corporation Ltd.
